Introducing the "Degassi" vernacular

The Spinner: Loud, obnoxious, lingers waaaay too long
The Manny: Just a "mess," really; usually accompanied by an airy whine
The JT: Relatively annoying, but surprisingly virile.
The Ashley: Somewhat musical in timbre, but you hate it every time she comes around, regardless.
The Paige: Annoying, Scene Stealer, forces everyone to acknowledge her even without their consent.
The Jay: You feel like it's going to let you down but then comes through at the end.
The Emma: A salad fart; relatively prissy.
The Craig: At first you're kind of intrigued...but then it sticks around just a little too long to be useful.
The Marco: Generally mellow, but can erupt during emotionally volatile situations; tends to gravitate toward males.
The Jimmy: Rushes in for the slam dunk, can't quite deliver, then rolls out slowly.
The Toby: A timid, less potent version of The JT.
The Jane: While the dramatic presentation might turn heads, people lose interest when they realize there's really nothing backing it up.
The "Snake": Comforting that you can count on him always being around, but equally disconcerting that you can count on him always being around.
